MELIHAT INDONESIA, JAKARTA – Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) memberikan respons terhadap wacana potensial Muhammadiyah mengakuisisi PT Bank KB Bukopin Syariah atau KB Bank Syariah (KBBS). Kepala Eksekutif Pengawas Perbankan OJK, Dian Ediana Rae, menyatakan bahwa OJK selalu mendorong kemungkinan lahirnya bank syariah baru dengan skala besar untuk mengembangkan industri perbankan syariah secara lebih kompetitif dan sehat.
Menurut Rae, hal ini sejalan dengan Peraturan Otoritas Jasa Keuangan No. 16/POJK.03/2022 tentang Bank Umum Syariah (BUS), di mana bank tersebut dapat dimiliki oleh warga negara Indonesia dan/atau badan hukum Indonesia, atau warga negara Indonesia dan/atau badan hukum asing secara kemitraan. Persyaratan utamanya adalah kemampuan finansial yang memadai dari pemegang saham untuk mendukung permodalan yang kuat dan menerapkan tata kelola yang baik sesuai peraturan yang berlaku.
Meski demikian, Rae juga mengonfirmasi bahwa hingga saat ini OJK belum menerima surat permohonan resmi terkait rencana akuisisi KBBS.
Sebelumnya, Muhammadiyah telah diwartakan tertarik untuk mengakuisisi KBBS. Sumber yang mengetahui hal ini mengungkapkan bahwa Muhammadiyah sedang melakukan pendekatan untuk mengambil alih anak perusahaan PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk. (BBKP) tersebut.
Anwar Abbas, Ketua Pimpinan Pusat (PP) Muhammadiyah, saat dihubungi mengenai isu ini, tidak menolak atau mengkonfirmasi keinginan tersebut. Namun, ia menegaskan bahwa Muhammadiyah berkomitmen untuk memajukan ekonomi masyarakat, sebuah mandat dari Muktamar Muhammadiyah tahun 1915 di Makassar.
Sementara itu, pihak KB Bank menyatakan kesiapannya dalam menghadapi kemungkinan tersebut. Adi Pribadi, VP Corporate Relations KB Bank, menyatakan bahwa pihaknya belum menerima informasi resmi dari Muhammadiyah terkait rencana tersebut, tetapi KB Bank selalu terbuka terhadap setiap peluang kerja sama dan kolaborasi bisnis yang ada.
Dengan dinamika ini, isu akuisisi KBBS oleh Muhammadiyah terus menjadi perhatian di kalangan industri keuangan, sementara kedua belah pihak mempersiapkan langkah-langkah lebih lanjut sesuai dengan perkembangan situasi yang terjadi. (**)
