Satgas Penanganan Covid-19 kembali mengingatkan masyarakat untuk patuh dan disiplin menerapkan protokol kesehatan yang ketat. Karena, kunci utama memutus mata rantai penyebaran virus Covid-19 adalah menerapkan 3M, memakai masker, menjaga jarak dan rajin mencuci tangan.
Juru Bicara Satgas Penanganan Covid-19 Prof Wiku Adisasmito menyebut kepatuhan terhadap protokol kesehatan secara dapat lebih efektif mencegah penularan jika dilakukan secara kolektif dan tidak dilakukan sendiri.
“Kalau kita sudah patuh pada protokol kesehatan, jangan lupa mengingatkan orang lain untuk patuh pada protokol kesehatan,” jelasnya dalam jumpa pers di Kantor Presiden, Kamis (1/10/2020) yang disiarkan kanal YouTube Sekretariat Presiden.
Wiku menunjukkan bahwa beberapa jurnal internasional menyatakan bahwa mencuci tangan dengan sabun dapat menurunkan risiko penularan sebesar 35%. Sedangkan memakai masker kain dapat menurunkan risiko penularan sebesar 45%, memakai masker bedah dapat menurunkan risiko penularan sebesar 70%.
Dan yang paling utama, menjaga jarak minimal 1 meter dapat menurunkan risiko penularan sampai dengan 85%. Oleh karena itu masyarakat harus yakin bahwa setiap usaha yang dilakukan saat ini, akan membuahkan hasil.
“Asalkan konsisten dan kolektif melakukan perubahan perilaku menjalankan protokol kesehatan dengan disiplin dan dilakukan secara sungguh-sungguh,” tutup Wiku.
